I heard the sad news yesterday and can't say how difficult it was to bear. I talked with John numerous times over the last year, at first about a Thunderace in my area he was interested in buying, and then about work on the bike after he bought it. The conversations would always drift over in to tal...

Those shark gills on the tank look menacing--I like it. Yeah great to see some young talent coming up, though I am a bit disappointed to see Haga go to Ducati. It's a good move for Haga, but I would of loved to see him win a championship on a Yamaha--he was due. Any word yet on who Yoshimura/Rocksta...

Orion--don't worry about gun control. The Bill of Rights and the Supreme Court have locked in a guarantee that you'll be able to keep your guns. The Supreme Court just over turned DC's ban on handgun ownership, and there is no way will a gun control bill make it through Congress--even a Democratic m...

Symantec/Norton is a resource hog but it has its benefits--it's and easy install and if you have young kids you can set up parental controls on it. With three kids with laptops going to college, I like it because I can install it, configure it for automatic updates and scans, set up the personal fir...

Oh man, I never should of open this thread--now you are going to get me started.... Everyone has their own beliefs, and what we post here is going to do very little to change anyone's. That said, I'm a Democrat, and have voted with the Democrats except for my first vote for Nixon in 72. This year I ...

Oh man that sucks....

I was kind of pissed thye cancelled the 250 until I was riding back to the hotel on after the races. The cross wind was scary as hell doing just 50 mph on a 500 pound bike. Going 150+ mph on a racing 250--no way.

I think part of the boo-ing for Perdorsa was in part from an article in the local paper that weekend. It talked about Nicky not being consulted or even informed on Pedrosa's unilateral decision to move to Bridgestone, Nicky being upsurped as the No. 1 Repsol rider after his championship, and a "lite...

Barring inclement weather, I plan to be riding from the DC area getting an early morning start on Thursday. My son is joining me and he's fairly newly licensed and not been riding much (summer classes) and hardly on the Interstates at all. He'll be riding an unfaired SV650 with clip-ons and rearsets...

YZF750s are fine and I'm sure anything older is fine too. I don't have a lot of details, but as descirbed to me it is more of an exhibition gentleman's race--no block pacing or rubbing plastics, which would probably make me crap my pants. No prizes either--just for fun. Got a call from Duthcman toda...

Racer Bill Recruiting Vintage Yamahas for AMA at VIR

Got a call from Racer Bill (Bill Brown) recruiting vintage Yammies to participate in a Yamaha event at VIR during the AMA races the weekend of the 16th. Not only do you get to ride the track and hang out with some fun people and see some great bikes, a couple free passes are included. Looks like I w...

Here is DC we see all sorts of idot things. What happened to the Kennedy Space Center named after the president that set a vision for the nation that built the space program and put a man on the moon? I'm becoming a fan of lane splitting. Traffic ain't getting any better--DC area was just rated #1 nationwide for congestion. Greg White as Race Announcer at Barber

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Greg. Some of the Two Wheel Tueday stuff was just bad TV and I'd heard some stories about him that left a bad impression. But I have to admit I liked his race commentary at Barber. Unlike his predecessors he knows something about riding and racing and he was calling it...
