The particular immobilizer on this bike was designed to cut the crank trigger input to the ignition module if not dis-armed. Also if the device is not switched off and the bike moved, it will flash the indicators and sound the alarm, the way this was playing up, it was causing a power drain and not ...

Bike fixed for Eli, away on business in Townsville so I had the opportunity to drop in! Turned out to be incorrectly wired relay, faulty start button and immobilizer issues. Removed immobilizer, re-wired relay, fixed starter button and away you go!!!!! Nice to meet a fellow FZR owner with issues and...

As suggested before and found on a car I used to work on, the main "huge" cabling was shorted to the block on a tight section of wiring. Only when you tried to crank all power sucked straight to earth!!! I would suggest disconnecting everything from the +ve terminal and run 1 large wire (as big as t...

Now, I understand fluid and air dynamics but, from what I was told, after the fact which I did, you are not supposed to knife edge the area between the valves. Why? Yes, aircraft wings have a rounded leading edge and a sharp trailing edge. But, I believe that since I am not tying to "fly" though th...

Oil fuel contaminated, it's bound to be with a stuffed petcock and left standing, it would've leaked past a needle seat, dripped down an inlet throat and sat on top of the piston and then leaked down to the sump. I would refresh the oil and filter, repair the petcock and the usual maint items like p...
