Guys and Gals I'm down in Christchurch but we have been fortunate that we are in an area that has had minimal impact this time. Was up in Auckland when the quake hit so getting hold of wife and family was a nightmare as the phone systems were all but down. Finally got hold of them and got back here....

Thanks for the tips guys.

I'll buy from Precision. The local dealerships change bike brands regularly and aren't interested in exchanging. I got quoted $14.95 a shim?

As above most of the hotcam shim kits only list three of each size and I need five of one.

Thanks again and happy new year?

Question for Australian members?

Team

Need some shims for the R1 and got shocked at local Yamaha prices.

Can anyone give a recommendation for someone like Precision Shims in Australia?

Graham

Those files are DVD format and will probably be quite large. If you can get a converter and chnage to AVI or MPG. Try downloading Quickmediaconverter, yes all one word.

Duke I used to race a car and all I can say is racing is never a done deal. If the RZ's putting out 130bhp it won't last forever and even the fast guys have bad days. Everytime I went out I learnt something. I can only assume that bikes are somewhat similar but take my hat off to you as I don't have...

Spook The HP on the dyno with four into one and pods etc was 131 rear wheel and before mods was 122. Nine HP gain. But mid range torque was no where near what it is wilth the EXUP and Airbox. Top end was great, only thing was with the bike in that trim you always wanted to keep it in the upper third...

Yoniboy Some time ago I tried Dual K&N pods and four into one exhaust. Below are the carb settings I used after after Dyno tuning. Standard 1000 engine. Since then gone back to the EXUP exhaust and Airbox as I prefer it for my type of riding. Older and slower! air filter: Dual K&N open pods ignition...
