Re: ZX7RR Build.

Yes I know, I need a steel tank....I have one at home but it belongs to a bike I want to sell complete, and any that have come up for sale over the past few months have been 1/ infrequent and 2/ too expensive for what they are. We'll find one. Agree CV's are likely the way to go, I (think) i'm someo...

Re: 2013 Season Update

That's a damn nice pair of bikes there. Caught up with one of your Qld cohorts Brad Phelan at the Superbikes he was busy with the usual killer Fireblade plans! Can't believe how quick he's got his times down to round EC. Good to see you keeping out there, I 've only raced twice since Jan last year, ...

Re: Barry Sheene Festival of Speed (BSFOS)

I like Invercargill - horizontal drizzle - reminds me of Scotland. I don't know what Spook is on today but he should stop taking it. Anyway, calling a man a wanker is no great insult it's just stating the obvious!

I'm a bit inclined not to bother going to the Barry Sheene myself now.

Re: Barry Sheene Festival of Speed (BSFOS)

WTF !!

I'm not trying to stick it up anyone. VFR is eligible and extremely well painted. Rear support or whatever we want to call it is VFR.

Re: Barry Sheene Festival of Speed (BSFOS)

Ah well there's the rub - by interpretation an integral subframe could be included, a detachable one not. Hence an inconsistency that needs to be addressed.

But I'm having trouble forging mum's handwriting.

Re: Barry Sheene Festival of Speed (BSFOS)

Love the pic! But 16.5.5.5 b) is lead by "The following items must remain standard to the original specification" and prior to that it states "make and model that was generally available to the general public during the period as supplied by the original factory of manufacture for normal road use" I...

Re: Barry Sheene Festival of Speed (BSFOS)

Well if they don't know, don't tell! I'm lodging a rule change submission as 16.5.5.5 is not clear enough in this respect. Watch your one pc tank if you use it, by my interpretation it is not as per 16.5.5.5 b). However you will likely get it logbooked like that and scrutineers may not pick it up, a...

Steve your old bike didn't fare too badly at all, peripheral damage, nothing serious. Tank not touched, nor tailpiece, just pegs, bar, fairing, screen

Re: Next stop Phillip Island

Spook, yes it was all four. The ante will be upped very soon though - for example I understand a Sydney A grader will have an OW01 at the Barry Sheene and knowing his previous bikes and efforts, it will be a very well put together, strong bike. On a worked premodern he was running flat 40's at EC, s...
