Exup valve
The exup valve should be greased. I use a product called anticease that contains copper & other additives. This product won't be burnt off quickly like normal greases and will leave behind the copper residue that continues to lubricate the brass bush once dry. I think you can use molyibdium grease a...

powder coating
If you are going to remove the bearings make sure you mask the wheels yourself prior to giving them to the powder coaters. If you don't you will end up with overspray on the bearing surfaces (electrostatic charge attracts the powder to the metal and it will go every where not masked) & that will be ...

MY METHOD.
1. Use R1 fairing bracket & cut the bracket between the two headstock mount holes and underneath the top web about two inches from top hole. but not all the way through. I've used a FZR1000w radiator & suzuki Accross 250 thermos to fit in the tight squeeze. There is a 2mm clearance between the thermos & the head. I'll get some digital photos over the next week. What did you do to get your instruments to fit in the R! upper fairing?

supercharger
Look at my previous post re drive for the supercharger. I havn't got a problem with having to modify my bike as it is allready very modified. The reason I,m looking at a supercharger is that I have very little, infact virtually no space at the front of the bike (YZF 750 frame, 1000 motor & R1 cosmet...

200HP?
How about a supercharger!
I've been wondering about fitting a roots blower. I would locate it above the carbs & remove the air box as it would no longer be required. A fuel cell would also have to be made & located lower to make room. Then a cover would need to be made to replace the steel tank ...

Exup
Removal of the exup valve with an after market slipon (I assume this is what you have) is not required to make the bike run better . In fact you will exagerate your flat spot if you remove it & If you disconnect the servo that operates the exup the bike will hardly run.
If you were chasing topen...

CDI Units
My experiance is that it won't work. I tried it on my Hybrid & couldn't get it to fire with the 750sp CDI hooked up. The connectors on the 750sp & 1000 CDI's are different, as for the standard 750 CDI I don't know. Unless you have modified the heads & changed the cam to make use of the higher revs i...

Tacho fault find
I have a YZF 750/1000 Hybrid that I built 4 years ago and have had this problem with the bike since I built it. The tacho registers a fault indicated at 7,000 rpm. Yamaha said that it refers to the feul sender unit being faulty. So I got a second hand unit from the wreckers, which didn't rectify the...
