Re: remove tires
jes you have to remove calipers in order to get the front wheel of. its fairly simple though.
there are many oppinions about dynojet vs. factory jettings but an very common oppinion is that you should use factory jet kits. this is due to dynojet kits needing to drill holes to slides and factory ...

Re: Hoses on 1990 FZR1000
ok. your problem is not hose relaited. the vacuum hose goes from carburator intace to fuelsystem.
2. coolant?.. if there is nothing wrong with it, why would you want to change anything? generally the coolant overflow (the one that collects to the bottle under seat) is connecter in the radiator ca...

Re: a louder exhaust for a fzr4003tj
just go on and buy some 600 race can. If you plan to open up the original then know this: it will require as much work as making an totally new "do it yourself" exhaust can, as you have to change the original structure of the can.
basic difference between race and std cans is that race can uses ...

Re: a louder exhaust for a fzr4003tj
ive never taken a look to 400 but i should think that a bit of welding parts together would get you just about any slip on pipe.
hold on to the original downpipes and collector and make an new fittment for the new slipon. cbr600 or similar should work fine. and they are easy to find second hand.<...

Re: fzr400rr 3tj
now i am not shure about this and someone who has played with 400s, please correct if i am wrong.... but first of all the restrictions do not work via the revlimiter. do not take the limiter of, it will cause you an immediate engine failure, big time.
the 400 does not fall in to the category of ...

Re: Jets
heh. seems that you are right again about the jet sizes. some previous owner has installed 120mainjets and as i swiched to k&n it went seriously lean. i have slowly richened the mixture by rising the neadles with 1/2step, (i have those small plastics that allow me to make 1/2 steps with needles) at ...

Re: grinding the swing arm???
i have to say that i would not do it. frame, front and swing mods are about the only things i would not alter, do or try myself.
there is not really any way that you can calculate if it lasts or not. the only solution is if someone has done it before, and you can trust that someone to speak the t...

Re: genesis motors (exup)
akcribs just take a look at bikerz posts and you will understand that he does not know a flying @#%$ about these engines. All 89-95 fzr 1000 exup engines are the same but those from 87 and 88 bikes will not fit your bike. do not buy one of those. they have different cylinder angle and even your exha...
