Re: carb probs
I am in the midlands, now riding a 89 EXUP or anything can get my hands on.Valve clearences are Inlet 0.11 - 0.20mm Exhaust 0.21 - 0.30 run them on top limit they do perform better, then move onto your carbs.I have some shims and could probably get hold of more if you need them.

Re: fork oil fzr750 genesis(uk)
A 2mg is a FZ750 not FZR,your forks will need 404cc of oil, recommended grade is 10wt but if you have as much damping as a papermate pen,use 15wt.

Re: fork oil fzr750 genesis(uk)
Is it the FZ or FZR,they are different, the FZ are 39mm are are adjustable for preload only, the FZR are 41mm and adjustable for preload and rebound.

Re: carb probs
Check valve clearances first,Yamaha recommend doing them at 28000.They get tighter with age.Are you in the uk?

handlebars
sorted it guys,it seems that the groove which holds the circlips has about 13 years of gunge in it.I cleaned that out got some proper circlips, not the Yamaha ones, which have a better thrust area, cured.

EXUP handlebars
Guys,
The bars on my 89 1000 EXUP keep coming loose, the circlip comes out of the groove and then loosens the bar,not a nice feeling, any ideas of how to clamp it all up tightly again, everything is torqued up as per manual.
Cheers
