hi sorry its been a while but i have had a career change and been really busy so u will need my e mail then yes ? one thing i did have time to do recently i dropped the needles 1 groove its really improved the bottom end but the middle where it was strong is now not so good. but at least it shows it...

if your valve cap is stuck on the best way i found of separating it without cracking it to bits is to remove the bolts from the plates, then get a blade from a Stanley knife at the edge tap it between the plate and exhaust, working your way around, gradually tapping harder to send it deeper. it work...

thanks for that do u think that it might be why the slides in my carbs do not begin to lift until about 3500 be cause of the lose in vacuum ? not noticed any smoke but would definitely like the plans fore the valve comp<br>cheeres <p></p><i></i>

yes the fan works and yes the exup valve works <br>so i think the over rich is the way to go cheers <p></p><i></i>

has any 1 any ideas when my 89 exup 1000 gets hot in traffic the throttle response is crap. its hard to pull off at any pace, 2up its dangerous.get a bit of open road ands it starts to cool it comes back on line<br>carbs have been set although it has done 48000 miles so they could be worn <br>cheers...

mine squeeked fetched it out, and it was bone dry. these valves can seez so i put high melting point grease on mine its been fine ever since. i think mine was close to seezing because it was a bitch to get out <p></p><i></i>

hi does any one know if when you de restrict an exup 1000 circa 1989 do you have to compensate with any carb mods.<br>i have spent months doing my bike up and now my last task is to get it crisp from 1000 rpm -3000rpm it has been derestricted by the previous owner, it pulls ok lowdown but after 3000...

have you checked its a good signal through the connector plug under the tank <p></p><i></i>

you do reallies they dont react until about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle <p></p><i></i>

hope you dont have the crap i had, most of the bolts were corroded in. so the Allen socket just rounded the bolt out <p></p><i></i>
