OK here is the scoop on that flat spot. One of the needle was bent as seen in the picture. It turns out these needles are dynojet's brand. How can you tell? they have 6 slots, and the FP only have 5 slots. So said the fellow at FP. I ended up by buying a new jet kit and it sure solved my flat spot, ...

drag racer,<br><br>I double checked the size of the pilot jet and they are indeed Mikuni's 17.5. Remember this is a 97 YZF Thunderace, not an FZR, as best as I can tell.
