Re: Building another FZ17

Apparently the YZF750 head is the same pattern as an extremely rare and expensive kit part for the OW01. They cost about $10,000 dollars back in the day. I have an article somewhere stating this, it was an interview with one of the Willing brothers, Warren here in Australia. (he was Kenny Roberts Jr...

Re: Pre-exup cilinders on 87 FZ750 Genesis

What year fz750? The gold case engines rods (I think) are shorter than the silver cased motors (probably .5 mm). Both engines have 18mm little rod ends.

I think fitting one to the other without checking things such as squish and piston to valve clearance would be fraught.

Re: STOLEN Parts!!!

That sucks Michael. I hope you had insurance, it won't return your stuff, but will soften the blow. Quite often break-ins, especially when specific stuff is taken like FZR1000 parts...it will be someone you know, or has been through your shed previously. 1070 kits are obsolete, you might have to org...

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

I heard a while ago that some charges may be raised against clinton. Trump is just downright nuts, and sadly he may end up being the leader of one of the world major powers. God help us.

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

I understand that the American people should never give up their liberty, the right to bare arms, or anything else that your constitution affords. Over here they are steadily whiling away our rights with statutes a legislative law. George Orwell 1984 brings some similarities to the current world we ...

Re: Rolled back into an old hobby.

Whoa. As you know we have never been allowed toys like you can own in the US. And after the buy back virtually nothing, still I guess we don't have mass murders every other week. Problem is the responsible people end up without their toys, and the criminals keep playing with theirs. So you have conv...

Cool! Love guns, but don't know too much about them... Other than they make holes in things :)

Any pics of what you are doing?

Re: Kit and Maintenance manual for 07 R1?

Thanks Michael, I've got the kit manual I need, I'll probably join one of the r1 forums, but thought I would ask my brothers here. The 07 motor and swing arm will go into a 88 FZR special. I've decided this is the easiest way to get 200+ rear wheel HP I need for LSR. It is going to be a ve...

Motor Storage Ideas

For ages I have been taping up the alternator openings on good spare engine's in storage I don't intend to pull down. Many don't have alternators. The tape invariably falls off, and leaves the opening exposed to the elements. Today I was moving a couple of engines, tape had fallen off, and I had thi...

Getor Shop - Ebay

Here is a store that caters for our range of bikes. He has a huge stock of gaskets, rebuild kits, for brakes clutch cylinders, inlet rubbers, full gasket sets, lots of carb parts including diaphrams, bowl gaskets...etc etc, all at good prices, especially if you live in the states or the EU. Fairly c...

Not being anodised it is quite possible to make up sections and weld in repairs. Peter Day would be the man to see over there. Pop riveting the frame protectors on never really made sense to me  I've got a couple of frames with holes, some need replacement rails as well, all can be ...
