And I guess we have to face the prospect that Rossi may never win another championship. Then again, Doohan didn't win his first title until he was 29, his last at 34. And Rossi is carrying far less inhibiting injuries so far.

Even though Rossi was only 5th, his total race time was about 6 secs quicker than the winning time from last year in similar conditions, which shows how much the Honda and Yamaha have improved. Also makes it a big ask for the Ducati to make the ground up, will take them half the year at least.

When did he do a 1.06 Steve. And wouldn't that be on the 1100 or on your T not the New Era 750 ?? My point being, looking at the Rnd 1 P6 750 times for the both of them, it should be close racing! Not to mention some of the other guys whose pace is gathering...pace!

Me? I 'm in Vic not Qld, I wasn't going anywhere with as few tracks as NSW!! It's great the P6 750's run on their own - will you make it to Broadford PCRA round this year?? I'm doing the Vic Titles down here on the VFR, there's only a couple of us P6'ers but we make the most of it. I was pretty luck...
