Re: 1991 FZR 250 carby problems

Welcome to the brotherhood!!<br><br>I'd suggest checking the inline fuel filter - it may be clogged (it is also easy to check and cheap to fix if it is). Have you checked your air filter? Another easy thing to check, and relatively inexpensive to fix if it needs cleaning / replacement. <br><br>And t...

Re: tac code help

I think they may vary between bikes though. On the yzf750 7000 represents something to do with the fuel pump (I had the unfortunate problem of forgetting the ground wire). Does it ever go to zero? Normally the tach codes will fluctuate from zero, to code, to engine speed, then repeat. I can only ass...

CDI - more than you wanted to know

This was just posted on another forum, and I thought I would share it here too. It is an easy-to-read discussion on how a CDI actually works and how it keeps the bike running.<br><br><!--EZCODE LINK START--><a href="http://www.crustyquinns.com/tech/cdi.html">www.crustyquinns.com/tech/cdi.html</a><!-...

Re: REPAIRING - plastic damage

I've used <!--EZCODE LINK START--><a href="http://www.plastex.net.au/index.html">plastex</a><!--EZCODE LINK END--> many times and it works great. Can repair cracks, and you can even create your own bits if something fell/broke off and is now missing (I recreated a tab that had broken off my fairing ...

Re: So....What do you do for a living?

I used to work in a nuclear power plant (Darlington - in Ontario). They did have people who just sat around watching control panels all day (like homer) but they were never allowed doughnuts / coffee in the control room (obvious reasons). <br><br>But now I lecture in ergonomics & design at a univers...

Bike Database...

I realise that there are quite a few 'sources' for bike info around, but this one is a bit different... <!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://www.biketome.com">www.biketome.com</a><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--> is based on a wiki. For those that don't know what a wiki is it is essentially an onlin...

Re: Pricing

I'll be honest and say that the first helmet I bought was an AGV and I bought it simply due to price (half off). I know fit is more important, but at the time I didn't know if I was going to be a long term rider, and didn't know if this was just a fad so I bought a inexpensive (normally mid-price) h...
