Second "First Time" thing for me. First Time was Laguna (which was the first time it was back in the States after 11 yrs) and now at Indy "First Time" first time its ever been there. Ditto. I'd like to make it back to Laguna at least one more time before their contract expires. Of course I hope the...

Sorry to hear about your sister, Chrissy. Hope she makes a speedy & full recovery. I'll hold onto your stuff until you know for sure. If you can't make it I'll see if I can sell your ticket to somebody from either school or from another board so you can get your money back. If you want me to go ahea...

Guess what finally came in the mail this weekend? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/orionburn/ticket.jpg In my rush to leave this morning I forgot to grab the Paypal paperwork that I had. I think Konto was the only one to actually give me his address, so Haunter & Mshap I need to know where to ...

Wish more people were going too. Out of all the messages I sent out I heard back from maybe 4-5 people responded. Oh, well....we're still going to the GP! Woot!

I agree, good thinking there, Don. Considering I had to drop nearly $500 on books for this semester last night (and I'm still not done!) I don't think a third bike is in the future anytime soon...lol. There was a married couple at the track who go around and take photos for NESBA for free. He starte...

you could always just upgrade the engine to 89/90 model. That's exactly what I'm doing with my '88!!!!!! Tell ya what, Kiwi, I'll send my bike over to you and you can "practice" the engine swap on mine first ;) I generally look at Putnam Blackhawk(my bro lives 4 miles from them) Autobahn and Gatewa...

You make a good argument, Kiwi. While the suspension is a fairly easy fix, albeit a pricey one, the biggest concern is the engine. It's in a serious need of a rebuild and I don't know if it's feasible between the time and money I'd have to put into it. If my FZR was an 89 up it would be a bit of a d...

The seams were a bit nerve wrecking at first, and yes, it's split out evenly in 3 strips across the width of the track. For some corners it was helpful as markers of where your lines should be, and then in others it made it a bit rough when you had to go back and forth across them. This is the layou...

Just out of interest how much does it cost you guys for a track day over there The costs vary depending on the track - http://www.nesba.com/Info/TrackEvents.aspx The average I'd say is around $160 USD. Gingerman was a bargain in my opinion since it was only $130. For as worthless as the dollar is r...

I hate to say it, but this weekend has really forced me to consider getting rid of the FZR. It doesn't make for a good daily rider like the Bandit does, and for the work I'd have to put into it I could get a decent used R6 instead. I never caught his last name, but one of the control riders was camp...

My first track day

Went to Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI this past Saturday for my first outing on a track. We got up there Friday night and camped out to be there and ready for tech & registration on Sat morning. Have to say it was an absolute blast and everything I hoped it would be. It's funny how fast you c...

Makes me kind of sad seeing all the old names of guys that don't frequent the board much. Looking back to the first few pages was a walk down memory lane.
