My first race after 19 years away! What do ya think. I say the old FZR looks right at home on the track? http://i120.photobucke...

Sounds like.
Brake fade through overheating. Change pads to EBC HH sinted.
Could also be caused by the master cyl piston rubbers letting fluid past the piston, causing a ruduction in brake pressure.
Hope this helps.

Now that you have 1000k on the engine go for it!!
All the new race bikes we ran in for racing, we bedded them for about 500KM then took them to the track & raced them. Never had an issue.

My god I didnt know how good we have it over here in Australia. 91 over here is the lowest rating we have & it goes up to Shell V racing 100. 91 is the cheapest rubbish here. 95 & 98 are the most common of the better range here. With Shell V 100 the best. We are now paying $1.65 a ltr for the rubbis...

I'm not going to tell you what I paid for it because you would all hate me. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk18/rd400racer/008.jpg Yum yum yum!! That looks beautiful. You lucky so & so. I run a 17/47 & a 16/47 depending on what track Im racing at, & my fizzer will turn it selfover if you just nail the throttle in 1st gear. So yours must be a bit sick.. I found the 16/47 to low for open road use. The motor has more than enough power to run a 17/47.. Carbs & valve's are the BIG power...

Welcome to this great site. But I have to ask. Please dont take this the wrong way as I have the exact same bike as you.. But why would you want to make a classic FZR1000 look like something its not. I do respect you wanting to change things, but that 92 model looks very clean, straight, & unmoleste...

My FZR1000 racer

I bought this tired old FZR off the net. It was a backet case with a great motor. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t95/te50t3/bike9-2-08011.jpg Now with a bit of modding, its a great racer down here in Aussie land..1990 to 1995 class. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t95/te50t3/FZRpics011.jpg
