They are all great bikes, actually thinking about it, the OWO1 And the R7 were both basically prototypes made to go racing so they have that in common. The YZF was more probably more 'kit' than the OWO1 but ran a production frame. The R1 designated SP came out recently (2006) with up spec bits, ie: ...

Yep.... So it does! I'll be buggered. I've got no idea. Perhaps they just changed their mind at some point. Perhaps an email to yamaha will clear it up? I've googled owo2 and all the references are to the R7. The listing I've shown above is off the 2008 YPIC. It's more a point of interest than a con...

Re: glass

Cheers Gane, we'll get the guard made first, then see how we go :P

I've got that much stuff I want to do for myself I'll probably be sick of it by the end!

There is an old saying "Paranoia is total awareness" (lol)...

Cheers.

Ummm Video??? I'll take photos so often you can put them together and make a moving slide show :) No I don't think so Stig, I've watched a few 'how to videos' on u-tube etc and they are a bit boring, though good value... (the Bridgestone tyre changing one comes to mind...and it is to the point). I d...

Love a conspiracy theory... Here's a screen shot off the actual Yamaha reference. If you think about it, the YZF750 is the logical cousin to the OWO1, the R7 really shares nothing of the linage, it is basically a 750cc R1 engine in a YZR500 chassis. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/_spook_/YPIC...

Myself and a freind who is a dealer, were looking up designations on the Genuine YPIC (Yamaha Parts Information Catalogue) It is a DVD-ROM that provides text and graphics information for the range of Marine and Motorcycle catalogues available from Yamaha Motor Australia from 1988 onwards. It clearly...

OWO2?

Why is it that everyone other than Yamaha refer to the R7 as the OWO2?

Yamaha give the designation (OWO2) to the 1993 YZF750SPE (OWO2) and the 1994 YZF750SPF (OWO2) Has Yamaha got it wrong :?: Cheers.

Those crazy clay modeling dudes (lol). Right.... I figure it will be best for all of us if I start with something simple... it will be a front guard for the FZR750. I have already prepared it, in that I wasn't completely happy with its shape. In the case of this guard, it is going to be a one piece ...

6ml will be tons... and would hold them literally. Being spondon they would be billet? Chord more so than thickness is the major determinate... they won't flex so much where the fork is (clamped) attached, it will be mainly between there and the spigot, so what you have will not be greatly affected,...

I was really interested in the number of views as an indicator of the threads worth. Cams positivism is a given, and a fine quality... I can't see any problem doing it other than you may find yourself looking at Honda fairings... not Yamaha all the time. I've done a reasonable amount of this sort of...

Looks great for can painting. Your probably aware of the old cold weather trick of sticking the well shaken can in a bucket of hot water until it comes up in temp. It increases the pressure inside the can and lowers the viscosity of the paint. Nice work. Cheers :)

Making Fiberglass Components

Is there any interest in the making of a set of race glass, from prepping, the origional plastics/ mould making/ and producing a set of plastics. I'm about to make a full set of race glass from scratch for my CBR929, and some bits for the FZ750. I can promise that it will be a long winded pictorial,...
