Could also be the effect of the camera lens - perhaps when the whole fairing is on it will look a bit more balanced. Plus some race number panels with a border might help break up that tailpiece a bit more. We're also used to smaller and smaller tailpieces these days, those dinky vanishing-to-a-poin...

Spook, Went ok, lucked in for P6 and won the heats, (only 5 entrants!) didn't go so well on the 400, its a really competitive class and I never felt comfortable on the bike all weekend, my times stayed static and I ran about midfield all weekend. Had a big front end slide though a fairly fast right ...

Kiwi, sorry to see you come off like that, never seen damage to rims like that from running off, quite remarkable, I'd be sending the bill to the circuit owners! Could have been so much worse I guess, so that's one good thing. I nearly joined you on the weekend, I ran off the end of the back straigh...

Should give me about 30bhp more than the VFR Glad to be of service entertaining you, any onboard footage?? If you come to the...

Yeah its not stock, I shared a garage with him at the BSFoS last year, he was telling me about it, can't remember exactly what he'd had done, headwork was one thing I think, plus having had him come past me on the straight a few times, it's got some go! BTW, you were saying you looked at Richard Eas...

Well done Steve, I hope I can say I'm coming in from the other direction - having had to wring the 750's neck, it may have done my racing some good, so when I (finally) get on the thou, I'll be ahead (so to speak)....or at least have an easier time....you can probably see a bit more now how frustrat...

Your quick off the mark!! I was watching the times too, couple of things stood out: Paul Grant Mitchell doing a 1.03 on his ZXR... Steve Green, D grader on a ZX6 doing a 1.06... Nigel taylor hasn't raced for 20 years and hadn't ridden the bike again before the meeting. Its a Superbike spec 87 FZR th...

Yes you can and I know I will be.....I feel a bit left out, I haven't missed a PCRA round in over two years...separation anxiety.....look out for Nigel Taylor in NE, he's a mate of Mick's and is on a superbike spec...FZR1000! He was well quick in the day apparently, I'm sure he'll still be quick eno...

I'd love to come up but I just don't think I can justify the time and cost in amongst all the stuff going on down here. I would have been more inclined if they'd split the grids back to NE and PM but that's still not happening. The thou is still in getting the suspension done, its costing a bomb but...

And Steve - spectators!

Maybe we've been barking up the wrong tree with PCRA - we don't need a new circuit in NSW, lets just fence off Walgett or somewhere for a weekend!

What tyres are you running Mike? I agree its better to stay on the same rubber, at least initially, as its a good benchmark until you get more familiar with the other differences. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself either, although its easy to do, I know I do. I guess its all relative too - racing i...

And!.......not only is losing weight off you better for power-to-weight, being fitter makes a huge difference....my best lap times on the 750 at Oran Park for example since I started racing a couple of years ago have only come down by about 2.3 seconds despite having done a lot to the bike....but wh...

I didn't realise how used to one bike you get until I a) bought the VFR400 and b) co-rode an FZR1000 at the One-Hour. Unless you're a freak, it takes most of us a good while to adapt to something else. But in the long run its good to race different stuff, I have become too used to the one bike, the ...
