I've built RD's for the street that made about a hunnert hp. The question is for how long did thay make a 100 horsepower! No. I actually don't own one. But I know a lot of guys that do. Yup. Drive gear in front wheel. If the tangs are broken or worn off....it won't turn the cable. Teh easy way to see is take the cable off the back of the spedo. hang it where you can see it andride around the block If the inner is turning you got other problems. If not it's the drive gear in the fro...

See the tang that sets the float height? are they the same? Now....there are two things that it may be. Swap the floats and tell me if they (the float) is still high but only on a different carb body. If it is, then have a look at the needle. You could have a different one. If that's the case...whip...
