Well done Steve, nice work. You've taken a leaf out of my book - just keep turning up and finishing! Any more clues as to how you can feel more at home on the 750?? Mate I still havent got any closer to getting the best out of the 750. Im just so use to have the torque of the FZR. & I doubt with th...

Well I still cant get my head around this bloody Eastern creek, but I did come away with some lollies. A string of 5x2nd places. It was very hot all weekend, but didnt storm. I had a very uneventfull meeting. Just kept running around, & things worked out.>>>> John Stamnas Pty Ltd Unlimited Retro ABC...

Jay dont stress over lap times. You have done a thousand on the VFR & you know it. The FZR is a different ballgame. I still havent come to grips with the 750T yet. I did a track day a couple of weeks ago, & it did help with getting some laps under my belt. Would it help in race conditions? I doubt i...

Great write up Jay. Well done to you & all the guys that trecked down.
It sounds like I might have to come down & sort that FZR out for ya. You should be at least a second faster on it. The VFR just hasnt got the balls to take on an FZR & win.. Might come down to the rider maybe??
Again well done..

[quote] I was disappointed in not noticing much difference with the Marchesini on the back despite the massive weight saving; then again John’s FZR runs stock EXUP wheels which tells me 2 things: 1/ proper set up is more important than light wheels and 2/ he’d likely get in the 1.02’s if he had some...

Has to be a Marlboro red/white replica Jason. What great history was made here on the Doohan/Dowson/Magee FZR1000s!!!!!!! Its the only way to go IMO John Allman at Mototech still has all the spec's on them. It'd be a snack to do, & look the part. Look>> http://www.mcnews.com.au/Riders/MickDoohan/199...

Steve, Not sure if I'll do the 1 hour, I had planned to but costs are an issue at the moment, time off work etc. It is a good weekend though, get lots of track time and if you can jag a second ride in the F3 and/or bucket 1 hour its very good track time per dollar value. I'll see how things look af...

Cant wait to see Casey on a Honda, he hasnt been happy with the Duke or the factory for a couple of years. I think he'll get another couple of world championships before he hangs the leathers up.

You don't have to start with the clutch all the way in. Don't you hold it a fraction off where it engages Yeah that is what I normally do and I hook the front brake with one finger so it doesn't creep. Something was just not right. All good though. The boys I was running with were the ones that kic...

If the FZR was ex Marlboro bike they built a few of them. They would have been one of Doohan/Dowson/Magee bikes. I think they built one for the Arai500 at Bathurst, & the other two were there superbikes for the domestic series. Give Dudley a call with chassis numbers he would know as he built them. ...

Well Done Steve and team, So what's the plan now, race some modern stuff?? Buy another EXUP? Had my EXUP stretching its legs on the weekend, will do a write-up later on. Mate I'd love an 89 exup for P6. But money is fast running out. Im going to be doing the Honda/RJ series next year on the 750 in ...
