Re: EMRA Round 1 May 27

Haven't found any from this year, here's me and Ryan. We usually battle it out regularly but he hasn't quite found enough speed this year. http://albertamotophoto.smugmug.com/Category/2012/EMRA-Round-2/23746633_Cd325c#!i=1926897548&k=r9tt2Bq&lb=1&s=L 911 vs 28, Ian and Chuck, too much fun to watch! ...

Re: EMRA Round 2

I love racing with a mix of different bikes, nothing is more entertaining than having multiple and varied lines through a corner. There's a couple TZ's, a handful of motards, and a herd of "Sportsman" machines (over 10 years old). So the motards come sliding up the inside using a dirt line, the TZ's...

EMRA Round 1 May 27

The weather for the weekend was uncharacteristically fantastic. I say that, because it is spring and we've held this race in rain and cold, and had snow after it was done. But NOT this time. Practice sessions on saturday were a mixed bag of trying to get my own poop in a group, and combatting others...

Yeah, but that means he's been racing for 21 years. Neither of us have had the same job for that long, have we?

Re: What motorcycle mags do you read?

Whenever I can find it I'll grab Bike. Cycle Canada is better than it's ever been, and the same can be said about Motorcyclist. I really enjoy Sport Rider and will read Cycle World when it comes in the mail too, but it's at the bottom of my list.

Re: Win the lottery ... buy a motorcycle

Why buy just one?
How about a black MST-R for the distance and sporty runs, and a sorted V-Due for track work, and finally a 990 Supermoto to let the inner hooligan out, everywhere.

Re: EXUP interchangeability

Agreed, my switch to k&n was because the Aces are traditionally on the rich side, a slip on and filter help, plus once I changed a paper filter 4 times it already paid for a k&n. If I'd known I was going to keep them for this long, I'd a bought a stainless oil filter too and saved some serious bucks...

I walk lots when I reach a destination. I won't abide boots that chafe. It's an expensive solution, but the only one in my books.

Re: EXUP interchangeability

Unless you spend some time on R&D, I would stick with the exup in the header designed for it. There is engineering involved that has to do with exhaust pulses helping scavenge at lower revs and increase torque, but once the revs rise, it's ncecssary to open the valve for maximum flow. Most after mar...

Re: easter cup, mac park, s.a.

Great race report and Congrats on some fantastic finishes. We also have a very abrasive track surface, combined with the fickle Alberta weather, where I've seen rain one one corner only, and that makes slick vs wets a huge gamble. For those at the front of the pack the decision is tough and a game c...

Re: Moto GP 2012

Now that I've seen what the Yamaha can be capable of (GO Crutchlow and Divvie!) I'm wondering what happened to Spies bike, I think he even got passed by Edwards on the fastest CRT bike! Good race great finish. Moto2 was awesome too, gotta wait a few more days before they show us Moto3, but I'm OK wi...
