I know sickle. Mine in 1st does 70. New Zx10's & R1's can break 100 in 1st. Hell I've been yelled at to slow down while doing 40mph in a 40 at 7000-ish rpm. Most people dont know that a sportbikes normal cruise rpm usually is higher than cars and HD's. One reason I can think the US doesnt hav...

Yeah some companies dont want to do older forks. LE says just as long as they are polishable for the nitride. If not, just a rechrome. Well its back together. Washed, on the charger (hasnet been started in a while) and waiting for the test ride. Hard to believe this is the first real bath its had in...

Well we had 5 bike fatals this year alone (since March). 2 were sportbike riders who had a vehicle turn left in front of them (drivers of the cars still no word of being charged and its been a couple months), and 3 cruisers riders (2 were HD, 3rd unsure). These 3 were DRUNK. 1 blew a stop sign on a ...

BTW I should mention the reason I'm not in the garage right now (11:30PM now) putting the rest of it together. Its freaking muggy as hell right now. Took a whole 3 min before I started sweating like mad. One thing I HATE about the midwest when its hot. HUMIDITY.

well forks are back on, brakes are on. Just need bodywork put back on and test ride. Only concern is the "Leak-Proof" fork seals. They came with a washer. After getting the forks together and filled, I seen in their instructions (which I didnt even know the card they put in there opened up since it ...

Working on bike....

...and taking forever. Why is it that after a while, you really dont put alot of effort in to fixing the bike? Bikes been sitting on stands for 2 weeks with the forks off. Well one fork off. One fork is done. Just too freaking hot in the garage and when night rolls around, I just dont want to do any...

93 F2 Thunderbike Sorry, excuse my ignorance but what is that exactly? Thunderbike is a CCS (one of the 2 large club racing orgs in the US) class mainly consisting of twins and older 600cc I4's (92 was cut off but they allowed up to 94 F2 and all FZR600's til 99). Used to be their Heavyweight Sport...

Sickle, looking for a tour bike with hard bags and trunk stock (no goldwings. They cost more than HD's now plus they have known issues with frame cracks and screwy front suspension). UMJ's are going to have the same issue my YZF has on long rides. Have to get off after 3 hours. One thing I loved whe...

Rob, What kind of crap is that, police hassles etc? Police, squids trying to impress you by wheeling past you in the same lane, idiots constanty yelling "do a wheelie", ricky racers constantly revving trying to race the bike. Plus doing 400+ mile (650km) rides on a sportbike isnt the best ride. Als...

Next new street bike more than likely will be a HD ultraglide. Want to pick up a SV650 for racing. Kinda tired of the crap I get dealt with up here on a sportbike.

One reason when you work at a racetrack you always keep an eye up track. Been cornerworking for 9 yrs this year. Seen some rather insane crashes and some bonehead things happen (ie spectators trying to stop a race by running out to the track and a photographer sneaking out to lay in the grass 20' fr...

Put another Kenwood in. Unfortunately theres no Kenwood dealer around here that carries the Excelon line (which my old one was). Got a mid level HU. Freaking silly as controls. 4 buttons and 2 stalks control the whole thing. No preset buttons. Not the best layout IMO. Nice thing with Kenwood, the po...
