Re: Bike graphics

photshop won't scale a raster based image very well unless you import and convert at a particular setting. you're better off using a raster based software package like illustrator.

Re: Win the lottery ... buy a motorcycle

I would purchase an OW-01 and an OW-02, an RC30 and an RC45, and one of my all-time favs, the Moto Guzzi MGS-01.

Hell, I would settle for just a mint OW-02.

Re: #2 Race bike

awesome! can't wait to see the details...200hp would be incredible.

I wonder if any of the tuners here in the states knew about this valve secret. can a mild port job be performed and still be reliable?

Re: Win the lottery ... buy a motorcycle

i'm with you on this one, djablin.

the mv is beautiful, but most of the other make me wonder what the guys on the drawing board were thinking. from an engineering standpoint cool, from a styling standpoint not so cool.

however, i do like a few of ncr's machines.

Re: Time to go shopping!!

i just watched this. it makes me want to move to denmark.

btw, did you notice that the only girl "flapping her arms" like they were wings was also the only one that didn't know how to pull the ripcord for the parachute?

Re: EXUP interchangeability

these guys won't steer you wrong. the discussion of swapping headers/exup from one model to the next has popped up from time to time, but i think we all pretty much came to the agreement that trying to make 750 headers fit on the 1000 (and other silliness) can kinda be done but it isn't worth the ef...

Re: Moto GP 2012

well, i didn't get to see the race because in an effort to save money i had my cable service disconnected a few months ago. plus, i have been too damn lazy/busy to find streaming coverage on the web. i did, however, read the post-race articles. i would like to see spies do something a bit more impre...

Re: Latest Buell

you're right, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but that doesn't make bad design good. and this is coming from someone with a design education and 15 years of professional experience in the field.

also, the parallel twin currently parked in my garage has never leaked a drop of anything. :D

Re: Latest Buell

i have ridden a few buells myself (two harley engined bikes and the little bike called the blast). i thought they were what they were, harleys pretending to be sportbikes. i like twins, just not harley versions that rattle your fillings out. i agree that buell's engineering is pretty forward-thinkin...

Re: Latest Buell

i really wish i could like buell, but their bikes always have some goofy dimensions and shapes when it comes to the bodywork. that thing looks like 95% of the weight is in front of the handlebars. stoppies standing still?

Re: Bike graphics

well, i guess i'll chime in with my 16 years of professional graphic design and prepress experience (just tooting my own horn). there are far more incorrectly created logos floating around the web than correct versions. even versions that look pretty damn good are usually wrong. the only way to get ...

Re: The "New Look"

Oh yeah, the current image settings are set to allow an unlimited width and height of an image. I'll do some testing to see if placing a limit on size crops an image or auto-resizes it.

@Hooli, see posts top-of-page to see what I meant when I said that switching iconsets back and forth can create issues. @Thom, yeah, I kinda figured that was going to happen when I started making the changes. Any paths that point towards an external link or image are usually a problem when things c...
