Over Temp light

I've been pondering what style of instrument panel I want on the cafe racer and have decided to use the original instrumenst housed in aluminium pods, mounted side by side on an ali plate. The one area I'm not yet happy about is using a temp gauge (original or digital) as I want ti keep the panel co...

Re: New Years Project Resolutions

This years project isn't as grand as those above, but the work of building a cafe racer FZR is under way now. I spent a day or two last week mirror polishing the fork lowers, top and bottom triple clamps and the fork brace, and today I fitted the new headlight brackets and trial fitted the 7" headli...

Re: New, 10 yrs, 20 yrs

Gidday Stan, Well, I bought a new SV1000S in 2005, not my first new bike, but the first one since 1982!!!, and I loved picking the bike up from the shop knowing that no one else had owned it and I could run it in the way I wanted. After 7 years and 35,000km I sold it last month and have picked up an...

AWESOME DISPLAY!!!!

Yesterday Duke22 and I headed down to one of the local tracks to watch some racing. It was ok but I can't have been much in the mood, so we shot through early and went and had a look at a local airshow. The main drawcard was the only flying De Havalland Mosquito in the world that have just had a tot...

Re: I've done it!!!!

I like some of the old ones, but I'd definitely prefer the mondern handling/reliability if I were building something retro. I just love triumph's bonneville and modern T-100, wish I could own one myself, along with my FZR of course. Modern handling is only a well designed frame away, and the XS850 ...

Re: I've done it!!!!

Why not a trellis framed FZR with a SStrellisSarm Graham, that'd be fun? you could always do the perimiter brake too with a front RADD arm instead of telescopic fork, now that'd be pretty bitchin' cool dude. I'm still not sure if the FZR is a keeper yet as I haven't ridden an I4 on the road for ove...

I've done it!!!!

I sold my SV1000S last week!!!! :D A bloke from down country has bought it, paid the deposit and is flying up this Friday to pay the balance and ride it home. 35,000kms and it's been a fantastic bike, but I want to build my own idea of the perfect bike. I'll be picking up the FZR750 that I've bought...

Cool Website

I was trawling around the net the other day looking for ideas for the next FZR when I came across this site: http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61824 Some of the bikes are awesome, and some leave a bit to be desired (to my taste anyway), but I'm enjoying looking at a lot of different idea...

Sorry Kiwi.................. Don't like ELVIS............. may even like Rossi less. Elvis couldn't sing and he DEFINITLY couldn't act. I mean shit..... he had to try and sing his lines....... And yet his estate is still making millions every year, can't say I'm a great fan either, but like Elvis, ...

Re: Moto GP 2012

It'll be ineresting to know what the package is as it's rumoured that Ducati was offering 70,000 EURO, has he gone for more money, or is it a chance for final glory before he retires? My wife and I were discussing this this morning, and no matter if your a Rossi fan or not, he's still the Elvis of M...

Re: FZ-YZF Slipper-Clutch now available.

I had a look at their site and it's not listed yet, do you know if they're they using an existing model or will they add the new one to the list?
