Re: Next stop Phillip Island
Hearing from Jason now! Where to start.....Friday comprised of 2 practice sessions and 1st qualifying. I ran times that were w-a-a-y off my previous best and whilst a bit baffled, put it down to a couple of main things: plenty of oil being dumped, hot and windy, and trialing a 180 on the back which ...

Re: Next stop Phillip Island
Kiwi, just got home, Duke had some water pump issues etc and put another motor in but had some probs with it too, great shame but he was very philosophical about it, I would have been smashing furniture! he still enjoyed himself nonetheless, and Pete did too, I had a couple of good runs with him, al...

Re: Next stop Phillip Island
A fair day for most of us, unfortunately Jaffa took a tumble and we believe he's done a wrist but was otherwise mostly ok. Steve Taylor has been quick, me I've been well off my usual pace but working back up to it, the track has been coated with oil in a few spots, its hot and windy so lap times are...

Re: Next stop Phillip Island
Duke, The extension looks like it will add around 20 secs and it is mostly slower turns, one or two medium turns perhaps. Will undulate, which will add interest / technical and there is also a decreasing radius left hander it seems. There is no guarantee it will be ready in time and the Barry Sheene...

Fair point Kiwi! Steve, there will be a few of us from Vic going to the Barry Sheene and there will be big P6 fields, the biggest in the country so far. Here's the link to the entry form: http://www.barrysheene.com.au/files/docs/2012%20BarrySheene%20SuppRegs%20%20FINAL%20regs.pdf So 4 x 5 lap races,...

Hey Duke, don't worry about that, we got enough to run P6 (just!), you'll be there, we'll be there, all is well!! In fact it may have been your overseas entries that sealed it. I'm busy getting a few things done to the VFR and a few of us here running P6 at the IC are starting to get pretty damn exc...

Try these guys.
www.bikesabroad.com.au
You'll be looking approx AUD3200 but it will be a complete service, packing, DOTARS clearance etc
You can do it all yourself and maybe save 800 or so but it will be a lot of work. You could talk to Trev aswell, he does a lot of this for his own stuff.

Duke, The best current local club P6 lap is probably mine, a 48. In the early 90's Corser put in a 37 on the Winfield RC30....depends on who turns up on what but I'd expect the front P6 bikes at the Island, worked FZR1000's with A graders onboard to be down around 44's maybe better, weather permitti...

Steve B - mate, just come down, we need you - doesn't matter if its a hp-fest or not, we're used to that anyway, its all about getting P6 out there. And for us 750 guys, it should be a bit more level as I wouldn't expect any/many full-house superbikes with A graders out there yet (that'll happen at ...
