Speaking of speed limits...isn't it in Montana, US that some highways have no posted limit? I know that was true a few years ago but not sure if it's still on the books.

I recollect the speed limit is considered "what is reasonable and proper".

Oh and yep i liked the hd / airplane scenario too chuckd. Whatever happened to HD's attempt at sportbike racing years ago with that bike they had?

Harley sportsbike? Thats a bit like an eco-friendly terrorist isn't it?. yep that harley sportbike was the VR1000 - the one that Scott Russell had dismal results with. Ahh...Scott Russell. Yep I'm a fan. He is/was/will always remain Mr. Daytona to everyone that knows what a motorcycle is.

And speaking of Russell, have you guys seen the 'new' for 2004 helmets that are out? JJS, you could always paint up one of you "Many" rides as a fake Kawi... just to mess with peoples heads.

Tim
The oldest recipe known to man is BEER.

I thought of that. But as an admirer of the mighty green machines, I can't faithfully see green on anything but a kawi. I do like the Marlboro Yamaha's though.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://b7.ezboard.com/bexupbrotherhood. ... >jjs777 at: 4/11/04 6:35 pm

What about a perfectly clear Autumn day, no wind, not a cloud in the sky and about 20 - 23°C? My favourite time to ride. Throw in a sinuous bit of road and I'm in Nirvana

rossi--king of bikes!

Post by antbric »

he did it! he beat the evil empire the first time out. i can't believe how much better he is than anyone else out there. now if we can only get him to ride the r1 in the AMA superbike races, maybe the yamaha riders wouldn't be in the way as the leaders blow by them. maybe even team up rossi with michael jordan's team jumpman23--they race the r1. it'll never happen but makes for a helluva daydream.

An now I can't get back to it to remove everything because Geocities is now charging for their services. Hopefully they'll just delete it for me since I can't update it. I'll get another one up soon. But thank you for taking the time to laugh at my work, that is why I put it there.

Tim

Director of Entertainment (eddieandthecrusiersmc.com).

I watched that South Africa race and until now NOT been a Rossi fan. But now...riding the Yamaha AND winning the first race against the roman emperor! Luckily my friend taped it and I have not caught myself yelling at the tv quite that much since the doohan/criville days.

The fact that Rossi has put himself into the record books as one of the few riders to EVER switch manuafacturers and win back to back races, last year on a honda and this year on a yamaha is very impressive. I would have bet against him going into that race. I just can't believe he can switch bikes like that and still ride the crap out of the thing, and winding up that yamaha and tail sliding it like I have seen no one else do.

wOw

Do not for get that he was not on the fastest bike out there either. Biagi (sp) was fastest, but still came in second. Proves skill accounts for a great deal.

Tim

Director of Entertainment (eddieandthecrusiersmc.com).

Rossi...

Post by Exupilot »

Funny, I bet he never had many Yamaha fans before...lol personally, I've never been that keen on him. Yes I agree he has s**t loads of tallent, but he seem's a bit too arrogant about it. Would be nice to see someone else come up and give him a run now, KRJ perhaps? hopefully Hodgeson in a couple of seasons... ah I'm a Brit I can dream can't I?

Still dont compare to the days of Schwantz, Rainey, Doohan, Gardner & co.... saw some exellent racing then..

Rob

Rossi is so awesome! I wish that Mat Mladin (AMA Superbike Champion 3 times in a row for team Yoshimura-Suzuki) would move up to MotoGP so those Punk Gixxer/Mladin Worshipers could see how crappy he really is.

Of course he probably realizes how bad he would be by Rossi and co. He is just too scared to go up against some real compition.

Arrrrrggg! Sky TV here in NZ has decided not to show MotoGP! &**&*$%&&*! I was so looking forward to this season to see if Rossi really is as talented as he seems, or if it was just a case of 'the best bike on the best tyres'. Looks like he really is a rare talent. Again... ARRRRRG! Can any Aussies here tell me if Sky shows it in OZ? Ta.
