Yet another project...
How many of you guys have other projects that aren't EXUP's?

I for one have a few...
I have two or three 750 Suzuki's...I really like this bike. It's not really fast like an FZR but it has a snarly little motor and I can get it down th eroad pretty quick. I have an 82 that has a bunch of miles on it from when I was commuting and I'm thinking of doing something cool with it.
Here's the plan so far....
A set of FZR1000 USD forks with Snoflake Brembos (gotta get another set) and Gold dot R1's...
17" wheels and Pilot Powers
I have an aluminum box swing arm in the wings...need a 5.5" wheel...
Penskie shock...
I have a couple of 1150 motors waiting in the wings but I think an 866 long rod motor or a 944 motor would be a hoot.
Stout clutch and a quick shifter. Superbike bars and rearsets.
Gotta have a stutter box for on the street.
I'm gonna paint the frame blue and the body work yellow (old school Suzuki dirtbike colors...
And I have an R90 fairing that would fit nicely with a Gustoffson yellow screen
Polished cases and yellow Accell wires with Dyna coils.
Just thinking out loud...

Jim <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ... Re: Yet another project...
I got an old FJ600 I wanted to turn into a grocery getter complete with milk crate mounted on the back, but I seem to have misplaced a bunch of parts on it. Might make a neat go-kart. I also have my 86 VFR700 Interceptor that I'd like to streetfighterize. I think I have all the big parts: R1 front end and or CBR600F2 front end. I got mismatched wheels for it; Hurricane front, CBR rear (3 spoke vs 5 spoke). I thought I had a complete set of R1/R6 wheels, but I can only find two fronts, one black and one blue with polished lip. Bott
Here's a trick ....Take the plugs out and and turn the motor over!!!!
It takes quite a bit of time for oil to get into the top end
You may even want to spray some carb cleaner down the plug holes...
Don't worry about th ecarb cleaner...it'll evaporate...and you're going to change the oil anyway

Jim <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ... A lady I work asked me if I wanted an old bike they have in their garage. Her husband is in bad shape and he just wants to give the bike away to be rid of it. Guess it's sat in there for a really long time. It's an old 65 or so Honda. Not sure what model it is though, or if I will even get it or not. Would be kinda fun to restore a old bike like that. Other than that tooling around with the Fizzer has proved to be plenty of work lately
Nate - 87 FZR1000
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/ ...
Have you seen my fairing? Trade it for your Vespa

I'm not positive if I'll get it or not. If she does want to give it to me then I'd take it. Imagine it will need a lot of work since it sounds like it has just sat in there for almost 20 years. Who knows...we'll see what happens.
Nate - 87 FZR1000
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/ ...
Have you seen my fairing? Re: lkjhluuyfukgsom
Jim...I'm planning on pulling the plugs, but thought had to disconnect the CDI or so to prevent arcing? Bike landed perfectly upside down, wheels spinning, prolly sat there for at least 5-10 minutes while they cared for me?
Nbot
'94 Fizzer Litre
This is your sig on drugs....
