Brotherhood Gathering Summer 2007?

Post by FZRDude »

I just got off the phone with one of our newer members talking about a gathering.

Okay, this would be a Sponsered Event tied in with Yamaha and Road Atlanta. Other than that, things are only in the discussion stage. So with that said.....

Sponsored how? Would this coincide with an AMA event?

I'm interested regardless, would love to make a serious road trip on the 750 after getting things sorted.

Yes it would. There are other options open, but of those I only know of VIR, Road Atlanta, Barber, and Robeling Road. Those were mentioned to me in the short discussion.

Couldn't say... I have only talked with him once about this, but he was really enthusiastic about the idea, as he's the one that brought it up. :banana

Please continue discussing..... :D

Nice thing with RA, theres plenty of room for all of us to be in one spot. Also AMA at Road Amerial has a lunch ride for spectators around the track. Picture 15-25 YZF750's in a pack around the track. :D

Road America would be a little more centrally located between east and west than what Atlanta would be. Almost as far either way for me, but maybe helpful for all the west coasters.....

A lunch ride would be awesome though...add a bunch of Fizzers to those YZFs and you'd have a serious kodak moment....maybe even enough so to make the Yamaha Motor website? :poke

Perhaps it might help the discussion if we at least had a baseline of what this "other user" had in mind? Give us something to start with and maybe build upon to make a killer event.

Personally, I'd be thrilled just to get together with other YZF and FZR riders. In this entire city I've only seen 3 other YZF's and FZR's and never got to meet / talk to any of them, and I doubt any of them had the passion for these bikes that the members of this forum do.

When their security YANKS you out of your own race car and accuse you of trying to steal it, all while WEARING my team shirt. I guess it bothers them when a 19 yr old drives cars that cost more than their homes.

:banana Ohio would be a lot closer for me, but I might be able to make a trip south. Lot depends on school and all, and if I can find a means of trailering the bike. I'd love to have another gathering again like we did at 'guna.

Sorry, nothing at this time.

As a heads up...... It took 6.5 months to get the Laguna trip together.

It wasn't that bad, Tim. It was more like .5 months of actually planning, then 6 months of waiting :poke

Edit: could have mini-hoodlum meets at the Cycle World shows if people are in the area: http://exupbrotherhood1.com/phpbb2/view ... 6227#46227
