Flatslide Carb Problems...
This is for anyone here that is familiar with Kiehen flat slides, I purchased a 93 gixxer 1100 that has flatslides and am having trouble tuning them in, can anyone offer some advice? (cold starts are a bitch, if start at all when its cold outside, cause of no chokes)

They should be 39 or 41mm. I don't belive Keihin makes a 4omm FCR.
I found if the bike is cold I'll just twist the throttle a few time and the accelerator pump will splash in enough gas to get it started. But it does take a long time (4-5 minutes on a cold day) before I can get my bike warm enough to run at idle (no thermostat).
I'll tell you though you really are missing out on an awesome perfomance boost with the FCRs. They flow a lot more air, and there is no hesitation when you twist the throttle. On the street I think they'd be a pain. On the track you'd never go back to the Mikunis.
Check the size again and tell me what you want for them. Email is kontoboy at cox d0t net.

Yeah, I got to poking around on the Sudco website and found that 39 and 41 are the avalible sizes, the reason I said 40 is that is the internal measurement I got off the engine side of the carbs....
Since I never road race and only hit the drag strip now and then on friday nights for racing against friends, the CV carbs will be best for me (divability on the street)...
