EXUP Worldwide was born from the ashes of the original EXUP Brotherhood – the definitive forum for all those who have interest in Yamaha FZ, FZR, and YZF motorcycles.

Roughly 5500. At 5.5 mpg my algebra calculates that it would take roughly 1000 gallons of gas. Now if you road the FZR's you could easily increase that mileage to 20 mpg (40mpg/2 bikes).
Ya know, Jim, Chicago is nice town to visit. You should make a slight detour and pay the Windy City a visit. It is after all going to be the home of the new SuperBowl champs!!!
And the fact you'd only be an hour away from me with a trailer has nothing to do with my suggestion
And even if Tim and I joined up we still couldn't afford to pay your bar tab...

Do we have an idea on what the acutal dates would be? Thinking I wrap up this semester around the beginning of May. Not sure what classes I'm taking over the summer but should be able to work something out.
Even if you didn't actually make it all the way to Chicago, Jim, I could probably at least meet you somewhere along the way. I love my bike, but I don't trust her enough for an uber-long road trip.

675 miles is a "uber-long road trip" ? LOL ! I did that much in the first two days I owned my FZR !
Seriously, I rode from Tampa, FL to Wartrace, TN via Tallahassee, FL which was roughly 745 miles. How is 31S as a riding road anyway ? I have fond memories of 57S.
I consider it long when my bike has 35k on the clocks, no sure idea of what all is going on internally, and if you knew the guy that had the bike before me... I personally wouldn't have any problem making that long of a journey, and would love to do it, but would be nervous doing so without a "chase" vechicle.
And if I need to have a chase vehicle for a trip then I might as well go out and buy a Harley

You could go to U-Haul and rent a bike trailer and drive down. I think they're only like $20/day or so.
EDIT: 646 miles for me and the route would take me pretty close to The Dragon.......hmmm....might have to extend this trip for a couple of extra days....
