Double bubble windshields
Double bubble windshields
An ebay seller in Germany has double bubble windshields for a lot of older bikes including YZF750's. I have been looking for one for a long time.

I was able to find one for the 94-95 FZR1000 from ZG, not sure if they have any for the YZF though.

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070
Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

Full rocket pricing Tim,
'bout $75 plus shipping if I remember correctly, The cool thing though is because they are full rocket and not the sloppy seconds that sell for 'bout half the price you can order in whichever colour you want that ZG supplies, even the goofy amber colour that you and I like and have. Evidently, which is the same gold colour that buell uses for their XB12 and 9R's with the gold anodized rims, wanna know what colour my rims is gonna bee?????
Oops, guess they're $90 for the dubble bubble, and here are the colour choices,
http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/sportbikes/COLORS.htm
sku number is 16-532- "the colour number" so in my case with the amber,
I ordered a 16-532-07 which they don't appear to be showing on the colour chart at the time.
They also aren't listing any for the 94-97 750 however are for the FZR600, and thunderace/cat, so perhaps something could be modified with a bit of drilling on any of those other bikes that are closer to the 750 than the 1000 is. They do list a sport touring screen for the 750.

I actually called ZG a few months ago. They said there was never enough demand to make double bubbles for YZF750's so they discontinued them early on. Now they only make a direct replacement in various colors.
I have a friend in Germany who is going to go look at the screens for me and see what quality they are. He only lives 20 km from the seller. If they are good enough he is going to buy one for me. And my boss is going to Germany next month so he can bring it back with him.
Now if I can only get that carbon fiber chain guard that is in Germany on ebay.

I bought one of their screens and it's fine.
Double bubble on a '90 1K
It's thin, and you stick an edge protector on the back edge which I thought would look crap but doesn't.
Excellent fit and no complaints.
Then I parked it in the car park at work today and when I went back to it at lunch the outside edge of the rev counter at around the 9000rpm mark has melted a little and deformed!!!!!!!
P'raps I should have gone for a tinted one
hahaha
