Yeah, it's a WHOLE second set of plastics if you compare it to the newer bikes.creed12r wrote:spook wrote:

Haha. The suzuki seat section that polarized a FZR forum Every time I look at it now, I see a dolphins head.... Damn you Ozzy
Apart from the butt, (which I quite like) the front of the TLR fairings never really appealed to me. What I have decided to do, and I think will finish it off nicely, is graft an Aprilia RS250 nose cone onto the TL1000R lower fairings.
With the endurance racer style headlight going in on the left, and the Aprilia ram air scoop on the right side. I think I will have something that is quite appealing. the upper Aprilia pattern is much nicer than the TL... and made for it... Almost identical in proportion to the TL front, so an easy match up. The only thing in addition that will need doing is a new front subframe and mirror support. I've ordered a RS250 raceglass front, have to wait a couple of weeks though

Enjoy the ride spook - I take it the 70mm of rain that Squidney's getting hasn't made it down your way

Ha... Lets hope it stays that way! It has been raining Kiwi, and rain is forecast, but I'll go anyway. It's got a set of those Dunlop sport touring roadsmarts on it, they are meant to be good in the wet But not the best track tyre i would guess. Anyway, it's just a bit of fun and a shake down, get some base settings for the Ohlins... See how fast Jason is on the FZR....haunter wrote:looks good!!
