I'm certainly glad to hear that. Did the clutch basket survive as well? Did you look into that bloke we spoke about. He is a Thief, and you had invited him into your house. Hope start building soon Michael, we have been waiting a loooong time... lol. It's good for the soul to have a project on the go

Clutch basket is still here too,

As far as R.. goes, my experience with him was a pleasant one to be honest, and I think he's packed in his build a LOOOooonnnnggg time ago. In all honesty, I'd suspect me sheity neighbour of foul play than I would most anyone else. What annoys me the most out of anything were all the tools which I'll never be able to truly quantify or remember all of, that and the loss of the rods especially as well as the pistons. Honestly, 6 months after the fact, it still eats me up how poorly fellow human beings can treat one another, and for what, few more bowls of crack, meth? Sickens me to know that quite often thefts like these are conducted by career B&E people our own age, God help them if I ever find them.

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070

Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

Does the R1 use the same rods as the FZR did? All I can seem to find are R1 rods by Carrillo, not sure of wrist pin and crank diameters or rod length.

Yes I know how it feels to be stolen from. I used to have a trailer hire company, I lost 20 tandem car carrier trailers to theft, a double horse float and a furniture van, as well as many single axle trailers. Cops do nothing, even when they are in possession of the "hirer's" details.

The bloke mentioned above may have "seemed okay" but he was not, after returning the close ratio gearbox that was advertised as "as new" because of flogged dogs (at my expense), he counterclaimed with Paypal saying the gearbox I returned was not the one he sent. So $800 for the box and $200 return postage, I had my Paypal account shut down, and my ebay account with 400 100% trades unusable.

The guy is a cock, a thief, a liar and If I ever catch up with him, it is game over. So let's just leave it there shall we?

Ouch!

Shitty thing to do to someone for sure with regard to the eBay account, too bad you weren't able to get them on your side. I bought a subwoofer amp that was a paper weight once, despite the fact that when you opened up the box you could smell how badly electrical burnt it was before ever even powering it up.

I sure would like to drop a Sigma Performance hub into the clutch basket though, but they just aren't feasible at all.

I removed a FZR750 rod last night from one of my engines, and to my surprise they are longer, and much better looking rod than the FZ or FZR1000, the Carrillos are still longer by 2.5 mm, but they fall into the ballpark. If you machine the concave out of the piston and repocket, you would be close and easy to work out I think? ...

Thanks again my friend.

Definitely, a very raw deal, but as you know, we all have to suffer with the worlds population of 20% aHoles, just ask my more than $5k theft loss from my garage. Somewhat comforting to know that the perpetrators will one day get their own, although, it'd be a lot more comforting to know that I could exact said Karma.
