EXUP Worldwide was born from the ashes of the original EXUP Brotherhood – the definitive forum for all those who have interest in Yamaha FZ, FZR, and YZF motorcycles.
perhaps you can all tip in and buy Nicky some fuel,
Oh the pain, the pain of it all
I'm a big Nicky Hayden fan so lets hope he can pull off a win a home for you all, Oh, and Edwards to sneek a win at Lauguna this year would make me happy also
Hi all....sorry for the absence. Was busy as all get out finishing up my physics class and then work went nuts on me right after, so it's been a bit hectic.
Thank you to all who have paid thus far. I will begin sending out PMs tonight to the other members that were interested in attending the race. I should put this out there again so everybody understands correctly - if we do not obtain the 20 ticket sales required to meet the "group" definition you will not lose out on your ticket, nor will you incur any extra costs. At this point the only items we would lose out on would be the free bike parking at the track, the discounts for gifts and the track lap. The way it sounds nobody is going to be down there anyway to do the lap so no big deal there.
With that being said, if by July 10th we do not have the 20 tickets required I would like to know what you want to do. I simply have too much going on right now with my track day coming up to take on the burden of buying extra tickets until other members decide if they can go or not. I'm not trying to sound like an a-hole, but that's the way it is. My rep said it's no problem if we don't meet the 20 mark. We can still buy what we need and leave the group perks behind. We won't be out anything else. If someone else would like to step up and take on extra tickets be my guest, but that's the only way we'd be able to maintain the group purchase.
If it is determined that we cannot make the group purchase you can let me know if you would like your money transferred back to you (if you paid already) or stick with the original plan of having myself mailing the tickets out to you once I get them. In no way will I be offended if any of you want a "refund" per se.
Throw some thoughts back at me and let me know. I admit this hasn't panned out as I had originally planned, but I'm in the same boat as many of you dealing with the economy going into the crapper since this all began and still want to make this trip happen.

I'm definitely on track to buy 4. Working 2 days OT this week to pay them off. Would have had it before now but with the YZF being off the road, the gas of driving the SUV is kickin' my budget huge.
Just got off the phone with the rep and asked what were some options if we couldn't have all 20 tickets paid for by next Friday, the 11th. He did say that as long as we could get half of them paid for it could buy us a few extra weeks to meet the goal. I'd say the absolute cutoff would be towards the end of July, so I'm going to set the final date for money due to be 7/30. That way I can get the money sent out and have it paid off by the first of August. The way it sounds as long as they get a good chunk of money down to show that we have serious intentions of attending the race they'll budge a little bit. I would still prefer to get as much down as we can by the end of next week if possible.
I did ask about pit passes again, and from what he's heard they have not made passes available to anybody thus far. I did ask for him to let me know asap if any word comes out about when they become available. Hopefully if it's limited quantities that they offer we'll have a chance to at least snag a few and share between us if we have to.
As far as meeting the 20 mark, I'm down for 4 myself. Tim, Haunter and Konto have already paid, and I'm sure Jim will here shortly as well. Waiting for my friend to decide if he is going or not, so that would be 2 more. If he comes through then we'd be over the half way point with that. Silver - if you want you can just pay for one or two tickets next week and then the balance towards the end of the month.
Let me know if anybody has questions.
Edit: Also, at this point I'm not worried about anybody paying for anything "extra" such as parking passes or what-not. We'll deal with that in another few weeks once the tickets are all taken care of. Just finished sending PMs to everybody that had an inclination of going. If I missed anybody feel free to yell at me!

I updated the first post. As of today we have 8 tickets paid for.
Hey, Tim....Jim was the only guy I didn't PM since I figured you could yell at him and remind him from across the shop floor. I sent out I don't know how many PMs today, but with the holiday I'm not expecting many answers till next week. If my friend comes through then we'll be ok for the time being so hopefully I'll know for sure what he's doing by the end of the weekend.

Nope :sad Caught him online yesterday and he has some work commitments coming up that will most likely keep him from attending.
I had the rep email me the invoice today since I couldn't find it to save my life last night. The original invoice had a due date of tomorrow. The one he sent me today shows that tickets are not due until next Friday. So, Chrissy, no you did not miss the boat.
It is near certain now that we will not make the 20 mark for the group buy. My friend backed out because his son is doing some BMX racing on the weekend and is tied up for the next three thousand years. Even if the remaining members under the "maybe" group come through we won't make it. So....I'm thinking that after next week when I submit for tickets for those that have paid so far, that after that date members will simply have to order tickets on their own. Unless my inbox gets flooded by responses in the next few days I don't see the group buy happening. No big loss other than for those riding down since you will lose your free bike parking pass for the weekend. Sorry boys and girls....at least we tried.
