Holy Crap Tim,

You haven't ridden since then? WOW man, that's a while I'll say! I hope your neck is feeling better my friend, I've already been out a few times this season, first ride was actually in February believe it or not.

Starting to work on my project FZR now, well really, I just pulled the crank to send to Falicon but I'm starting to get that itch again.

Once again, hope your neck is treatin' you better dude!

Take care.
Michael

Yea, I am itching to ride as well. We've actually had decent weather here for the past couple of weeks, but both of my bikes are currently out of commission. YZF1000 is completely apart as I want to go over it from top to bottom. The FZ1 is running, but I removed the rider and passenger footpegs to get them powdercoated satin black to match the frame and the other black bits on the bike. Hope to get the parts back on the bike soon. Can't wait to ride again after the long Winter we've had...

Good one dude, nothing like a ride to clear the brain.

I hauled the SV out today and took it for a ride and the hand / thumb is still giving me a bit of trouble, it's ok on the street but there is no way I'll be up to race braking strength for at least another month or so yet.

Well if you don't count riding around in the neighborhood, yeah it been awhile. Last year my oldest started working at the same place so we car pooled and I pretty much work every other weekend. When I'm not at work I have to take care of all the other stuff that I haven't been able to get up with. Plus my other daughters play softball, so during between april and sept. we are always traveling around the state with them, not much time for myself.

I still haven't gotten the oil changed in the Bandit, but hoping to dig it out this weekend and get out on the road again. Eventually need to try brining the FZR back to life. Only fired it up a few times last year since it's pretty much a track bike only now.

I just found out that a friend of mine (old riding buddy) just took his own life on March 28, 2010 and I'm seriously thinking about a ride in the next couple of days as a tribute. From where I live to the farthest Northwest point in the contiguous United States. First distance ride in almost a year (over 8 hrs and almost 400 mile round trip).

So sorry to here this news Tim, my condolences to you and those who knew your friend.

A long ride like your thinking about is a good way to pay respect to your friend in your own way, and an opportunity to start working through the grief, alone, just you and the road.

Tim,

When I was 15 and 18 years old I lost both my father and then mother respectively to suicide. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. If you felt like swinging up the Canadian way, I'd be happy to ride with you again, share some coffee, and lend an ear if need be.

My condolences and my prayers friend, very sorry.
