Dave just did a site check in.

Dunno mate, but anything that attaches to a drill I would be dubious about.

What are you wanting to do?

I was just looking for a simple way of cutting/shaping some ally plate (2mm thick)

Buy a jig saw. Drill a hole where you want cuts to intersect.

Years ago I mounted a jigsaw underneath a piece of melanin... it was sort of a band saw without the band!

Just choose the appropriate blade for the material you wish to cut.

For aluminium too fine will clog, too course and you will have a rodeo on your hands!

If you choose to use a jigsaw, put gaffer tape on the feet so you don't scratch up the alloy.
