Beating a dead horse, but here's a phat tire question

How come Ducati recomends a 190mm tire on their 998 (I think) with a 5.5 inch wheel , but Dunlop recomends a 6 inch wheel for the 190mm tire?

According to the Dunlop fitment guide, they recomend a 180mm for a 5.5 wheel on everything but the 999, which is a 190mm on a 5.5. The tire is a Qualifier, both sizes. Just curious as to why they would do that.wslonger wrote:They probably specify a specific brand/model of tire that is made to fit a 5.5 rim.
