Oh man - that really is bad news.

I had a bit to do with John, and emailed back and forth about SV's, and in doing so, I got to know a very genuine man.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, particullary at this time of year.

RIP Silver - ride free forever :sad

the bike i actually own now is johns old 92 fzr1000 that he blew out the front tire on a while back i guess. i got a whole lot of extra parts from him and wound up talkin to him for about two or three hours after we had everything loaded. he was an amazing individual and loved his bikes. i was hoping to get back to tennessee soon with his fzr and go ride. its a shame what happend. but his bike is on its way to being a screamer. im sure thats what he would want. im new here but its good to see the god things you guys have said about him. thank you

I'm very late with this...and very saddened to read this thread.
We had a few things in common bikes, photography, kids lol
Respect and condolences to his family.
Sincerley,
John

ps after searching my emails I had never opened and read the email from Tim dec of 2008...as I was not in the best state of mind back then - so I'm sorry for missing this...I'm sure Tim told me verbally and I was basically just not hearing him I suppose. Again sorry for the late acknowlegement of this sad news. I'm basically shocked.

I still keep in touch with his wife and kids. They seem to be doing okay and all.

No Disrespect but I'm removing this as an Announcement/Sticky.

John you'll always be remembered.
There are some who call me........Tim?

I don't think anyone would mind if it stayed up Tim, either way, no disrespect. It's not easy to have constant reminders of hurtful times.

Although, all of us being motorcyclists and a lot of us having families, perhaps it should stay up as a reminder of just how fragile the balance of life and death is, maybe those of us on the wilder side of things will see fit to not twist as hard, as fast, or as much and learn to show more restraint.

Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin
