compatability

Post by creed12r »

The YZF1000 thunderace and Fzr1000 exup share the same bore and stroke of 56mm by 75.5mm and the barrels and pistons if not the same are compatable with each other.
The thunderace head however has two mounting holes each side as compared to the exup's one each side, the two heads are interchangeable but adaptor plates are required to then fit the engines into the frames.
The con-rods are interchangeable.
The crankshaft is interchangeable if you also fit the matched HI-VO chain and guide.
Hope this helps
chris
