I run a V&H PP on my 90 and 95 fzr1000's.

It made no difference on the 95 when running at the 1/4 mile 1320 dragway. No noticable difference regardless of the settings used. My 95 is bone stock except a yoshi exhaust slipon. No jet kit.

On my 90fzr1000 - it appeared to enhance the throttle affect everywhere in the powerband. My 90 has nothing except a d&d slipon. I never ran a before and after 1320 run so not sure if it made a difference at the drag way or not.

I would rather have one than not. It would probably work very well in concert W/ a jet kit and so on.

They are hard to come by...ebay is still the best place as they have been discontinued for quite some time. Too bad really. Expect to pay between $150 and $300 for a unit and beware the model differences. The compatibility is as follows

87-88 same
89-90 same
91-95 same (depsite that the chip MAY not say for 95 it will work)

Also check out <a href="http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/117593 ... for a glimpse of the sanned in image of the chart for the PP. Thers also another image of the dip switches too in my link on bikepics as well.
-John
95 FZR1000
90 FZR1000
Edited by: <A HREF=http://p072.ezboard.com/bexupbrotherhoo ... >jjs777 at: 9/25/04 8:36 am

yes the difference are that the powerpak is better tailored to fzr engine and exup control, the dyna can also retard ignition in case of NOS or turbo boost use. dont know how much the powerpak advance the ignition, for the dyna2000 there are graph on the dinatech site. for the dyna you have to have it customized to suit the fzr pickup.
