Mechanical Aptitude
Mechanical Aptitude
Some of you who post in this forum's Tech Tips section may be wondering whether you have the mechanical aptitude to be working on you own bike. Wonder no more. Here's an online Mechanical Aptitude Test you can take for fun. If you pass, you can post all the Tech Tip questions you want and do the work yourself. If you don't pass, you can still post Tech Tip questions ... but you're probably better off taking your bike to a reputable shop. If you score 100, I want your phone number so I can call you to work on my bike.

Not fair... they don't tell you the right answers when you've finished.
Got 88% and there were a few I'd've liked to have checked up on.
Like no.15, the one with the 150ib weight on pullys. Mechanically none of the systems offered advantage, but two of the three would've meant more friction. So was the answer A. A would've been easier, or D. No difference??????
Never mind, it was only for fun anyway, and most of that stuff I haven't seen presented like that for over 20 years!
eeeeeeee. I'm gettin' old.

Got an 86%. And I also had a hard time with the circuits, and I build guitar amplifiers from circuit diagrams! I guess The diagrams I'm used to looking at are for different applications. And a lot older....
