Makes sense... will do
Won't be riding for a while though because I twisted my foot under the bike and I chipped the shin bone or something.. going for a ct scan tomorrow :sad
Found out what happened, I broke the talus from the shin bone hitting it and chipped a bit of the shin at the same time. They are saying I might have to have an operation to screw the bone back together because they are worried about blood flow through the bone.
Apparently the talus only has blood going through it one way unlike other bones. Here's a pic of my foot the other day, i'll get a pic of my bike when I can:
I think plastic welding can be used sometimes but does this mean the whole fairing needs respraying? Is it expensive to spray? What about the stickers?
Usually (at least the dudes around here) the people around here it's way bloody costly! Even for a little biddy job, they want to give it back to you in at least primer. It's a shame that I can't find anyone that'll just zip it up real quick and let me worry about the beautification of the matter. Maybe you can find people that are a little more down to earth and like the inaugural case of beer more than up here.
Personally I'm going to see if I can find a small plastic welder.
The Alternative to PW'ing is of course fibre-glass work really, and those are really your options.

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070
Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin
That is my spine. S1-L5 was supposed to go up to L-4 but I'd spent a year with an excellent chiropractor who helped me out HUGE!!! Those were pics of attempt #2, the ones of #3 are scarrier yet as now I've got a screw in the bottom that goes right through the bone, as in right out the other side and they stuck this wedge thing in there somewhere too.
I think I'm going to pick up that little cheap welder myself, I mean even with shipping it's still under $100. I asked the dude if it came with some sort of directions and he said yeah, so I can practice on my crappy scooter or even yogurt containers for all that matters and then boom, you know. I figure you should get one too. But hey, to each his own right?

If you get it let me know how it goes
I read somewhere you have to cut a 'v' shape along one side and weld that, then flip over and cut another 'v' deep enough to go into the last weld, and weld that side too.
I've gotta wait 'til Monday before I can buy a money order from the post office, but, other than that, I'll be clicking on the "buy it now" button this weekend sometime for sure.
