Tyres

Post by Hiras »
Has anyone ever fitted Pirelli Corsas to their FZR1000?

I have a 180 Diablo on the back and on Saturday got a 120 Corsa for the front.
Ever since I made the change it feels like the front end oscillates at speed!
Also the bike now pitches when I go into a deep corner.

COuld it be that i'm just getting loads more feedback from a front tyre?
Am I in that esoteric "wrong tyre for the bike" area?

Is it cooincidental and really I just need to get my suspension adjusted?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated,

Hiras

I believe those are some of the best tires out there. After checking air pressure which I think should be around 35psi for normal street riding, and having the front tire re-balanced, it might be just the way they ride.

As far as pitching in, they are most likely profiled like that to enable easy dive in to corners. Which I would consider a plus for optimum handling.

I would definitely say they are not the 'wrong' tire for the bike.

Check out <a href="http://www.tl1000.com/pb_tires/sport_ri ... and click on the individual page for your tires to read the review.
