oil light probs!!

Hi, new to exup ownership had my 90 model about 6 weeks,been blasting around no probs,but got a bit of a shock when last week oil light came on <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :eek --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> when cruising about 90mph,applied brakes promptly and it went out. now i checked the oil the night before and when i got back it was up to the top of the sight glass??<br>friend of mine reckons this to be a common prob could someone please enlighten me .<br>Cheers <p></p><i></i>

Its just an oil level light. Some bikes have very sensative ones and come on rather easily. <p>Rob <br><br></p><i></i>

Mine does that too on occaision, mostly after giving it a good hiding. I agree with the above. Just make sure your oil level is topped right up (there are two dots cast into the engine casings next to the sight window). Mine usually comes on after taking a right hand corner at 120km/h or above. <p></p><i></i>

Common problem, don't panic your engines fine.<br>Mine does it, a '94 with 23,000 miles on it. They all use oil and the level sensor is stupidly sensitive. Mine does it on the trip to Wales and back. Just keep her topped up and you'll be fine.<br><br><br>Rob <p></p><i></i>
