From what I have read on here, it can be done, but the benifits aren't really worth the hassle. I don't know for sure, because I haven't done it. I'd invest the money into other things, like a Pro-oiler, new rear shock, new helmet, new tires, and such, but that is me.
Tim
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ...
Has anyone seen my keys?
Dir. of Entertainment Eddie & the Cruisers
'94 FZR 1000

yes

best thing to do is keep an eye on ebay etc for a complete front end - including the hard to find front fender

the 90 bars & controls will mount right up no issue there

edit 1 -

nice thing is that the 91-95 usd forks use the same steering stem/bearings and fit right across.

The ONLY real thing I noticed was that the steering bearing 'cap' was shaped a little differently between my 90 unit and the 95 unit - so I went with the 90 unit when I reinstalled.
-John
Edited by: <A HREF=http://p072.ezboard.com/bexupbrotherhoo ... >jjs777 at: 9/13/04 4:58 pm

I've got clamps and bars for a 91-93 set-up. All you would need is tubes. This allows for same front wheel.

CHUCK D.

$50.00 for claps and $20.00 for the bar clips (this is the actual clip, you will use same bar insert from your 89-90). Then all you do, is find some FZR 1000 upside down 91-93 tubes , new set of steering head bearings (I can provide if needed) and walla, modern upside down front end upgrade. Same Rotors, same front wheel. You may have to get stainless lines for difference in fork travel. At this point you should consider doing a possible front brake upgrade too. Maybe some ducati rotors or R1 calipers. The two options are this get all the parts of ebay or salvage or get them from me (which will require that I obtain a few missing pieces as well). Either way, I think that this is an easy mod, a bit pricey, but worth it though. Just let me know and I'll try and help any way possible.

CHUCK D.
