hi guys,

anyone know off hand if i will run into any problems removing the small switch under the clutch master cylinder? it is part of the bike's starting safety system, but i'm not sure if disconnecting it will cause the bike to not start at all.

my service manual doesn't say much on the subject...

thanks!

Hi Hooli-mod, Looks to me like that switch cuts the starter with the bike in gear, clutch out, and a start request input. It's wired roughly in series with the neutral switch. How sure are you, that (that) will never happen? I'd keep it.
Straight up Geek
Edited by: <A HREF=http://p072.ezboard.com/bexupbrotherhoo ... vhjkdis at: 11/16/04 4:23 pm

Mine is unhooked at the moment. It starts fine, BUT it won't start unless it is in neutral. That's the only problem I've had. It's a pain sometimes if the bike stalls, but other than that nothing major.
Nate - 87 FZR1000

Have you seen my fairing?
