Hi guys,

I need to know how and where those bikes were actually restricted. Mine was limited at 100hp.
I've changed the jet and needles in the carbs with genuine Yamaha according to the specs of unrestricted version.
Now I looked at the joints between carbs and engine and they have written on them 74kw (100PS). Do I need to change them too, what is their smallest diameter on unrestricted ones?
Thanks, help will be very much appreciated!

One of the ristrictions that I have heard of is, on some a corse mesh in the inlet boots. If you take the carbs off and look into the intake you'll see what I'm talking about. If it isn't there, I have no clue.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ...
There are some who call me........Tim?
Director of Entertainment Eddie & the Cruisers
1994 FZR 1000

And the famous Inlet stub half moon protrusions, removed with a stanely knife.

Other options would be exhaust & CDI (Been told the Jap version of the FZ750 was CDI limited).

I know for a fact that the French 100PS engines had restricted inlet manifold castings that fit between the inlet rubber and the head The casting is "necked down " in diameter and can not be ground out in size as it would fall apart. The only cure would be a UK or US spec set of inlet manifolds which would be around £25 from a UK bike breaker.
I found this out after buying a french import, after removing the carbs to sort the 125bhp rubber restriction which was not there I found the disgusting inlet castings <img src=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ... oapbox.gif ALT=":soap">

Mark
