Check some of the 750 threads Bones, I think it means "clean and free up the EXUP Valve".
Genisx1AtYahooeyDotCommaMomma

I think they may vary between bikes though. On the yzf750 7000 represents something to do with the fuel pump (I had the unfortunate problem of forgetting the ground wire). Does it ever go to zero? Normally the tach codes will fluctuate from zero, to code, to engine speed, then repeat. I can only assume this is true of the yzf600 (it is true on the 750 and 1000)

On the yzf1000 (page 8-68 of the service manual available on the ftp site) it indicates:
3000 - throttle position sensor (disconnected, short circuit, or locked)
7000 - exup (disconnected, short circuited, or locked)
8000 - fuel light (disconnected)

Not sure about the yzf600 - is there a service manual available? If so perhaps it has the same sub-section as in the 1000 manual (the section is labelled 'self diagnosis')

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p072.ezboard.com/bexupbrotherhoo ... =bozau>boz au at: 7/5/05 2:51 pm

Full system is sans EXUP. Check to see if the EXUP servo is still connected. If not, that my be the problem.

Quote:
7000 - exup (disconnected, short circuited, or locked)

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ...
There are some who call me........Tim?
Top Speed = Mach 0.197 or so...
1994 FZR 1000 <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/ ...

Hi there shouldn't be a exup on the 600.
Does your fuel gauge work properly?
I had a Yzf600r 97 motor in a fzr400 and the same indication.
I believe it was around 7-8 k on the tach.
Mike

If it's the same as the 'Ace, it will show 8000 when the low fuel sender is either disconnected or knackered, crying or very sad, or even if the fuel tap is not turned all the way on.

FT
