I'm waiting on gasket sets nad head gaskets for a 1040 and a cam chain...I have it all ready to go together and am about to start on the head.
I am just swamped in the shop though. I'm working on some long run programs so I can get something done on this motor...
There are pics to come, not to worry
Jim

I ordered the engine gasket kit from Bike Bandit a sthey had the best price a week and a half or two weeks ago. Just got a n Email telling me the kit has been discontinued by the mfg. Now the last two times they told me something silly like that...three days later they shipped me one. like, after I bought another one... I'm calling them today and then I'm calling Joe Hann and ordering one from OE. They are more money but they WILL have one...
Jeez I hate suppliers

I think its about that time of year I start asking about the motor and how she's coming along

I'd like to take delivery of it in June if thats possible...

I should be able to fan-dangle some money by then to pay for it all..what with all my other projects going on and all

It's close John
I'll have billet baskets in a bit. I have to get through two Navy contracts and I can do the program for them. I have five ...count en...FIVE apprentices now. Talk about havin my hands full....But at least it gives me a bit of time to get some other things done.
We're doing a remodel downstairs in the shop as well an dtearing off 160 feet of deck nad rebuilding that as well as new hardwood floor in the house so it might be a little nuts around here as well.....
I'll let you know
Jim

The bottom end is together and I'm working on the head. I need a couple of guides as there were two bent valves in there from when the piston bumped the head. I have a couple valves for it but am waiting on the guides in the mail
