FRONT BRAKE CALLIPER SWAP

i have noticed some members have r1 or r6 blue or gold spot front callipers on there bikes fzr1000 89-90. is this a straight forward bolt on aplication or are there some mods needed?

You might wanna change the mc also! There is a big difference. Although its not necessary. :banana

If you have to fit those calipers to the later USD forks there's a bit of grinding required to the caliper/fork bottom to get them to match :!:


and


if you fit the mastercylinder as well...a place to mount it would be a small bracket and tap a thread into the end of the clip-on mount on the top yolk.
With the bike on full lock you can get a drill in from the other side no probs. The hole only needs to be 5/16ths deep...just enough to take a 6mm thread and hold the bracket :P

on the 94-95 you have to grind off some like stig is saying.. 91-93 is diffrent no need to mod any thing. later years than that i do not know

no im fitting to down side up forks the originals 0n 90 model.
