Yep, I have another winter project.

I'm going to fit a YZF750 Swingarm to my FZR. Why? Because I want to, it'll look cool (poser value), and I've never seen one.

Watch this thread and see how I can screw things up.

Ok, I'm gathering parts and here is what I have:

YZF750 Swingarm with: axle, adj blocks, swingarm/frame piviot bolt w/caps, spacers and inner sleeve.
YZF750 Rear Wheel with: chush drive, carrier & sprocket, and inner axle sleeve.
YZF750 Rear Caliper bracket, caliper (unknown cond), torque bar.
YZF750 Shock/Swingarm Piviot, (trundling it's way from the UK)

NEEDED ITEMS (info will help in liu of actual parts):
Bearings for the rear wheel. [p/n 93306-00420]
Spacers for the rear wheel.
Rear brake rotor (mine may work from the FZR)
Rear caliper (maybe)

edit: I have part #'s but I recall issues with reaer wheel bearing #'s.

Try allballs.com They have good prices and very good products. They have the wheel bearings and steering bearings.

tim, yamaha parts fiche has changed part numbers on the read bearings. i have an empty box around here with the part number, i'll post it up tomorrow.

i am 99.95% sure your stock rear rotor will work fine. oh yeah, don't forget to chase the threads in the wheel once it returns from powder!

Tim...I still have that one rim that I bought last year (guy listed it for an FZR). I can't remember what all came on it, but if anything works for you I'll let you know and you can have it.

Thanks Konto, but I think the only thing that I'm lacking is the rear wheel bearing spacer. Hooli is trying to make me a drawing and I'll have DR Jim spin me one up, but he doesn't think his caliper is wide enough.

If you happen to have a spare.......?

Sorry Tim, no spare spindle.

And I'm relieved you didn't need to rotor--I forgot that I bought it for my spare set of wheels. I'm swapping swingarms for a reinforced one I picked up and in the process am switching from the R6 back to the stock calipers and rotor. Sorry.

Okay... I think I'm okay on the bearing spacer, Jim's taking care of the other spacers.

It's off to the welder to be braced more than likely on Sunday.

End of the month will be the powder coating and hopefully the assembly will be done by mid March.

I have construction going on both at home and now at work, along with a Trade Show looming at the end of Feb. My plate is a little full.... dang it....

No, I didn't get a day off for snow.
But look at all the cool toys you get to play with at work and your commute if great as long as there isn't a dog jackknifed in the doorway....
