DIY - Paintless Dent Removal (the lazy/cheap way)

Hopefully this isn't a re-post...........

So, I was cruising another website and came across an interesting way to remove dents.

I have a dent in each side of my gas tank, and I think I'm going to try this technique, and see how it goes. You can see the dent in one side here in this pic. There is nearly an identical dent on the other side of the tank in the same spot.

Know wonder I love steel, you can do anything with it, shrink,expand etc and the vid demonstrates that!

top find mate!!!!

I wouldn't clamp ya knees so tightly onto the tank next time! lol :)

Well, tried the CO2 method and it pulled it out slightly. Going to try the dryice on Sunday if I can find some.....

Ive tried this using a hair dryer and a can of plumers freeze spray. It didnt work as hoped :(

But to be honest I dont think the hair dryer gave off enough heat for the metal to react. I know that scientificly this will work, as shown in the video.
Ill have another go with a better heat source :P

Just make sure you gradually heat the area! Too much heat, too fast will result in a new paint job :)
